Do you enjoy a challenge while you work toward your fitness goals? If so, why not become a member of the Zeeland Recreation 100 Mile Swim Club and challenge yourself to swim 100 miles in 12-months? After each workout, you will log your miles using either a tracking sheet we provide or using your own personal fitness device. You will be asked to submit your total miles monthly and each swimmer’s individual progress will be updated and celebrated on a brag board located on the pool deck. When you complete the challenge, you’ll not only be feeling great, you also receive a Zeeland Recreation towel and a 100 Mile Swim Club decal to show and celebrate the achievement! Start any time of the year. Simply stop in our fitness center to get started! All swim techniques are welcome. Distance is the priority in this challenge!
Distance Guidelines:
100 miles = 165,000 yards or 3,300 laps
1 mile + 1,650 yards, 66 lengths or 33 laps
Length = One end of the pool to the other end (25 yards)
Lap = Down and back (50 yards)
2 miles a week = 100 miles in 50 weeks
3 miles a week = 100 miles in 33 weeks
1 mile a day x 5 days a week = 100 miles in 20 weeks

Want to feel great and boost your energy? Join us for this 9-week training
program! Participants will train 3x per week (1x as a group and 2x on their own). All group training sessions will be led by Julie Lamer, a certified trainer with over 30 years of running experience. Julie will provide you with proper warm up/cool down techniques, valuable information on correct form and help you accomplish your goals! The training program will conclude with the group participating in the Zeeland Zoom 5k on Tue, June 27 (see race details below)! Fee includes all training sessions, the race registration fee, and race t-shirt.

Grab your friends or co-workers and join us for our Adult Softball Leagues! We have men’s leagues, women’s leagues, co-ed leagues and church leagues! This league includes a 12-week regular season followed by an end-of-season single elimination tournament. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy some competition, burn some calories and have some fun! We have competition levels for all skill levels.

Grab a friend or significant other and join us for our Adult Cornhole Tournaments! These are round-robin tournaments that will be played outdoors on Main Street during the City of Zeeland’s “Music on Main” event. Each team will play every other team in the tournament one time. The team with the best win-loss record at the end of the tournament wins a trophy + gift card to a local restaurant! Participants should sign up as a team.

Grab your friends or co-workers and join us for our 7v7 Coed Lakeshore Soccer League! It’s the perfect league to enjoy some competition, get a great workout and have some fun! This league is co-hosted by Zeeland Recreation and Holland Recreation. Teams will play 8 regular season games and the top 4 teams then advance to the end of season tournament. Games are played in both Zeeland and Holland and will be split into two separate competition levels (Competitive and Recreational). Come join the fun! A link to submit rosters will be emailed out after the registration deadline.

This class will focus on teaching the basics of tennis for those who are either new to the game or have played minimally. Each participant will develop skills such as groundstrokes, serving, net play, movement, match play, plus more. Our goal is to have fun and to help you use the skills you'll learn to allow you to have fun playing tennis recreationally with friends, family or other community members. Participants must provide a racket.

A circuit style class that combines cardio, strength and core training into a fun full body workout. Each workout includes HIIT (high intensity interval training), strength training and powerful pilates moves to burn calories. tone and build muscle all while improving flexibility, balance, and core strength.

Exercise in disguise! An energizing dance fitness class that will tone and sculpt your entire body. You’ll burn lots of calories and have a great time doing it!

This beginner classical yoga class, taught in the Iyengar Method, focuses on alignment in basic yoga poses. Poses are introduced with progressive instructions to help you develop your strength, stamina, balance, posture and flexibility. This is a perfect class for those new to yoga or new to the Iyengar Method. No experience necessary. If you’re unsure between Levels 1 and 2, attend Level 1 and speak with the instructor for guidance on the best class for you.

Classical yoga for the more experienced yoga student, taught by a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Emphasis is on increasing endurance and fine-tuning individual needs and actions. A wider variety of poses are studied more deeply and more complicated poses are introduced, continuing to develop strength, stamina, balance, posture and flexibility. Inversions are practiced regularly, as are backbends. Students are encouraged to attend the Level 1 class before joining Level 2, so the instructor can recommend the best class for you.

This beginner level ballroom class is perfect for a newly engaged couple, those needing a date night out, or anyone wanting to learn a new skill with a friend. We are excited to walk you through various ballroom styles during this 4-week class. Couples should enroll as a couple.

Women hear a lot of mixed messages about how to embrace healthy living, so how do we figure out what we should be doing in order to stay active and fit throughout our lives? Join us for a WOW! morning of learning from experts about how to work out in a way that addresses issues unique to women such as our hormonal cycles and menopause. We will learn, workout, and eat together! Make it a multi-generational experience for the women in your life as we tackle working out as women from puberty to menopause! Price includes a new workout shirt, lunch, and a full morning of workshops and workout classes for relaxation and positive body image.

Join us for a fun summer camp of hands-on learning experiences from all over the world! We will explore the cultures, animals, terrain, foods, flags, festivals, stories and geography of places around the globe over the course of this week’s fun activities!

Ready for a complete theater experience, including auditions, rehearsal and performance? This summer theater camp is for you! We will rehearse and perform a short play in just two weeks! We will be performing the play, “Twinderella” by Charlie Lovett. This fun twist on the story of Cinderella has tons of great roles for both boys and girls.

This camp introduces 3-4 yr olds to the game of soccer! Ball familiarity is the goal and basic soccer skills such as dribbling, passing and receiving will be introduced through a variety of simple and fun games! This clinic will also build confidence and self esteem by concentrating on teamwork and cooperation.

This skills camp is for girls and boys interested in improving their technical soccer skills in preparation for their fall season. In various game-like situations, a strong emphasis will be placed on technique in a fun and competitive environment. All skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Required equipment includes shin guards, shoes and a water bottle. 5 Yr Olds: Register based on age at the start of the program. K-4th Gr: Register based on 2024-25 grade level
